NEW - The Managers Suite and The Lean-To Lodge
Due to the pandemic we've been closed for much of last year and over the winter months. However, we haven't sat still! We've been working hard to get our new holiday let - The Lean-To Lodge (not sure if we'll keep that name!) - ready for Spring 2021. This will be a 2 bedroom property that sits between the Old Workshop and Clocking in House. We're also changing the Clocking In House which is currently a 3-bed property. At present, one bedroom is downstairs but you have to go outside and up some steps to access the other two bedrooms, not something that appeals in the chilly winter months! So we are converting the upstairs of the Clocking In House into an independent one bedroom suite - the Managers Suite (as this is where they will have sat whilst the workers weaved and worked their magic in the main mill). This will also be ready for Spring 2021.

ent of our existing holiday lets and changing the way you book....
We've also spent the time refurbishing our existing holiday lets in calm warm updated colours, providing luxury and rela
xation for anyone staying with us in 2021 and beyond.
As of April 2021, we will be moving away from Sykes.com to manage the bookings of our holiday lets ourselves. We're just in the process of setting up our booking system so in the meantime, if you would like to book a cottage, please contact us directly at info@torrvalemill.co.uk.

Torr Vale Mill Roof Project
For those who are local to us, you will have noticed the scaffolding up around the main building of the mill for the last few months. Thanks to a grant from Historic England to add to our funds, we have been fortunate enough to tend to one very leaky roof. The roof is no normal roof - it is made of timber and pains of glass, originally housing the needlework required at the time, providing oodles of natural light. We hope that this project will be complete by March 2021. Watch this space for what's next for that floor.

Co-Working Space Available
One of the silver linings of the pandemic is that we have all had to find new ways of working, one of which is working from home (when I'm not home schooling!). The trouble is, it's hard to then separate home and work life and I certainly find it takes effort to switch off my work brain and on to home mode, something I used to do in the car one the way to or from work. With the changes to the ways we work, the office could be a thing of the past for many people. However, there is still a place for having somewhere to go occasionally for a change of scenery or to meet a colleague for some collaboration. There aren't many co-working spaces in the High Peak area and not many across the country that can boast the scenery and history that we have! So if you are interested in a coworking space at Torr Vale Mill, a place to meet others or have a change of scenery, please take a look at our offices page on the website.
